Business Unit Overview

Warner Bros. Studio Facilities (WBSF) oversees the physical operations of the historic 110-acre main lot in Burbank including its 30 soundstages and 20-acre backlot, as well as production-related services including costume, set-dressing, construction, set lighting, catering, transportation, photography and much more. The production site also hosts tours for consumers offering guests intimate views at the inner workings of thriving entertainment studios.

Opportunity Overview

WBSF is seeking a talented professional to join the Finance FP&A team. The WBSF Finance department oversees all the finance and accounting activities for the business unit. This position will play a vital part in managing all aspects of the financial reporting responsibilities.
  • Manage the month-end/quarter-end/year-end process, including:
    • review and consolidate financial results for the business unit
    • prepare financial reports and analysis
    • present analysis and variance explanations to management, and provide responses to questions and inquiries related to financial results and variances
    • work collaboratively with internal and external teams in Burbank and UK to ensure accurate representation of financial results and accurate and timely deliverables and analyses to management and corporate
    • identify major financial drivers, and review and/or analyze key performance indicators (KPIs)
    • utilize SAP and BW to research financial results, and provide recommendations on adjustments
    • review and ensure proper eliminations of intercompany and intracompany activities on the financial statements
    • track financial results to annual target and identify risks and opportunities
  • Assist with P&L and cash annual budgets and quarterly/monthly forecasts, and long-term plan budgets
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis
  • Perform GAAP research and provide guidance on accounting treatment
  • Supervise, coach, and develop staff
  • Train staff and other team members
  • Recommend and implement process and systems improvements
What do we require from you?
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business Administration
  • CPA and/or MBA
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in finance or accounting
  • Experience with month-/quarter-/year-end close, general ledger accounting, budgeting, financial analysis, and GAAP
  • Excellent communications (written and verbal) skills and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Proactive in developing and recommending new processes to optimize work flow
  • Enthusiasm and desire to learn
  • Hands-on approach and commitment to "get the job done"
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and to manage multiple assignments and priorities with a professional attitude and to deliver professional results
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Ability to work with different systems and develop working knowledge of new systems
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Experience with SAP and/or Business Warehouse preferred
