Description: Hands-on management of by-site and content digital media (online, wireless) ad sales revenue reporting for the monthly general ledger closes. Assists Media Sales Finance department with allocation of mid month and month end revenue to content. Performs research to ensure completeness of data and creates upload files for journal entry processing to the General Ledger system, SAP. Analyzes activity posted to the general ledger, SAP, and prepares required subsequent journal entries to ensure proper classification of activity for supporting schedules, third-party reporting, etc. Liaison with Warner Bros. Participations & Residuals departments in order to determine appropriate classification of activity, proactively troubleshoot and address issues and respond to questions for internal and external (participant, guild) reporting. Responsible for reviewing digital agreements to ensure language, primarily financial, is standardized to the extent possible and adherence to departmental policies. Highlight deal terms that may pose issues and/or require further research and discussion. Identify required processes for third party revenue share tracking, calculations and reporting. Ensures SVP and other applicable Warner Bros. personnel are apprised of deal requirements. Collaborates with Financial Reporting & Accounting, Finance, Media Sales Finance and DMS Finance personnel in researching and expediting discrepancies and variances for digital media activity. Proactively identifies and implements internal improvements and process changes in order to improve the quality of reporting and gain efficiencies. Oversight of revenue share reporting. Preparation of DTD’s statements and check requests to comply with agreed upon deal terms. Tracks and monitors third party reporting requirements to DTD to ensure receipt of timely and accurate reporting. Coordinates with third parties and other Warner Bros. departments to obtain site specific statistics to facilitate allocation of revenue to content. Performs independent research of existing digital deals, partner sites and new areas of business and presents findings to SVP. Performs special projects and ad-hoc reconciliations as required.
Requirements: BS/BA degree in Finance or Accounting required. A minimum 4 years in a related accounting/finance environment required. Prior digital (online) advertising experience preferred. Prior entertainment or media experience a plus. Strong technical accounting, finance and analytical skills. Self-starter with hands-on approach. Well organized, detail oriented, with the ability to multi-task and meet short deadlines. Must have the ability to work well under pressure and with changing priorities. Must have discretion with handling confidential or sensitive information. Ability to communicate and work effectively with senior management and peers as well as external partners. Must possess strong oral and written communication skills. Able to design, develop and execute process and system projects with a structured approach. Strong system and database related experience, including system design and implementation experience, a plus. Strong Excel experience working with large volumes of data preferred. Knowledge of general ledger, accounts receivable and account analysis required. SAP and Solbright experience preferred. CPA license preferred.
